ABOUT OUR STORE : The Runner's Edge/Tennis Anyone?
The Runner's Edge was founded in 1996 by Tom Vladimir and Carol Virga. We are South Florida's largest running store with 4,500 sq ft in our Boca location and carry all major running footwear brands including Nike, Brooks, Asics, Adidas, Saucony, Mizuno, Newton and more.
Our staff are trained in professional fitting, and expert advice. We offer a 30 day guarantee policy that your fit and purchase are perfect. If you come to the Runner's Edge store, you will see that we share our Boca Raton store space with Tennis Anyone?. Along with our Boca Raton stores we also co own Running Wild in Ft Lauderdale.
OUR HISTORY : 1996 Tom Vladimir & Carol Virga open Runner's Edge in Boca Raton, with 1500 sq ft. and help from Keith Brantly, Brad Frey, Dale Ruby and our families. In 1999 Runner's Edge moves 1 block south to a 3,000 sg foot space and opens Tennis Anyone?, a retail tennis specialty store. 2001: Don Wennerstrom joins The Runner's Edge team as manager. Runner's Edge has 4 full time employees and wins Ft Lauderdale Corporate run first time competing, Tom wins CEO title. 2005: Runner's Edge adds additional 1500 sq. ft. to over 4,600 sq feet and expands both stores. 2006: Carol wins CEO division of Corporate Run. March 2007: Tom, Carol and Don Wennerstrom buy Running Wild from Meg Bruch who retires after 21 years. Don Wennerstrom leaves Runner's Edge to manage Running Wild. 2008: Tom Vladimir and Carol Virga take Runner's Edge and Tennis Anyone? online and open their stores to the world via the internet along with the help of Chris De La Vega
